What’s on in Dalsland Center
In Dalsland Center, by Dalsland Canal, you'll find a Tourist Information Office where you can find what you need to make your holiday a real adventure! In the same building, a former paper mill, there is an exhibition hall, two halls for Concerts and/or conferences, a café and a glass work.
In 2018, Dalsland's Canal celebrates 150 years and the party will be recognized throughout all our beautiful landscape. In Dalsland Center we are proud to present AKVEDUKT 1868, an exhibition of courage, visions, technology and communication, opened April 30, in conjunction with the traditional seasonal opening and celebration of Valborgsmäss (Walpurgis). The celebrations continue during the summer season, and will be crowned with a sparkling anniversary celebration 31 August - 1 September. The programme will be published here within short. Welcome!
In Dalsland Center, close to Dalslands kanal, you will find a full scale tourist information centre, with information and tip-offs to make your Dalsland holiday an adventure. Under the same roof there are an exhibition hall, two concert- and conference rooms, one seating 150, the other 200 people. Our premises, which used to be a paper mill, also houses a café, a souvenir shop and a glassworks.
During the summer season we put on art exhibitions, children’s activities and concerts. For those who want to know more about Håverud, Dalslands kanal and the aqueduct we offer guided tours daily from June to August. If you want a tour for a larger group, please contact us in advance. There is a choice of different accommodations and many restaurants in the area. If you choose to put on your exhibition, conference or your in-service training here you will get everything a modern conference centre has to offer. You will also be close to nature, stillness and opportunities for reflections. Our premises are well suited for people with disabilities. Dalsland Center has about 100,000 visitors a year.
Dalsland Center is available for trade fairs and conferences all throughout the year.
During the summer season the tourist information and the exhibitions are open as follows:
May 1 - June 17: 10 am - 4 pm
June 18 - August 31: 10 am - 7 pm
September: Saturdays and Sundays 10 am - 4 pm
